I started Unfound Media after noticing the same problem show up again and again in small businesses. Good people running good businesses, but everything built on word of mouth, with no clear structure or growth plan behind it.

Social media's usually part of the mix too. Most businesses are putting the work in, posting, showing up, but they can't actually see what any of it is generating in terms of real business.

Meanwhile the founder's working every hour going, doing the books, the marketing, the job itself. And if they want to go further, the answer always seems to be work more hours.

I think differently about it. Strategy, a proper plan, and a clear offer come first. I've worked with a lot of different businesses, and no two are the same, so a big part of what I do is understanding exactly who you're targeting and building the right offer and system around that. A clear goal, a clear plan, a clear system. Clarity is everything in business.

Before Unfound Media, I did a Master's in Marketing Practice and worked with a design company - where I managed the marketing for three separate brands. My background's actually in accounting to start with, which probably explains why I can't stand marketing that isn't tied back to a number somewhere.

My message is simple. Unfound Media exists to help businesses go from unfound to in demand, with a clear growth plan in place from day one.

And it's not only about what you can bring in from outside. Just as often, the bigger opportunity is already sitting inside the business, past clients who never came back, leads that went cold, referrals nobody ever asked for. There's usually more there than people realise.
